Idle Vibe Coding Tycoon ("the Game", "we", "us") is a free browser-based idle game at idlevibecodingtycoon.com. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and who it's shared with.

What we collect

Gameplay data. Your progress (tokens, generators, achievements, settings) is stored in your browser's local storage. A random identifier ("player ID") is generated for your browser so purchases and, if you create an account, cloud saves can be tied to you without asking for a name.
Account data (optional). If you choose to create an account for cross-device save sync, we store your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.
Payment data. If you purchase a permanent or temporary buff, payment is handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details — we receive only confirmation that a purchase was completed, which buff it was for, the amount, and the email address you entered at checkout (kept with the purchase record for receipts and dispute handling, whether or not you create an account).
Watch Ad feature. The optional "Watch Ad" feature doesn't show real advertising — it plays a short video via a privacy-enhanced YouTube embed (youtube-nocookie.com), which doesn't set cookies until you interact with the video player. No ad network, ad personalization, or advertising cookies are involved.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data.
We don't require an account or any personal information to play the game.
We don't track you across other websites, and we don't run any ad network or ad personalization.

Cookies & local storage

The game itself uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to save progress on your device. If you log in, an authentication token is used to keep you signed in. The YouTube embed used by the "Watch Ad" feature may set its own cookies once you interact with it, per YouTube's own policies.

Data retention

Local save data lives in your browser until you clear it or use the in-game "Hard reset." Account data and purchase records are kept for as long as your account exists, or as required for accounting/tax purposes.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any account data we hold by emailing hello@idlevibecodingtycoon.com. If you're in the EEA/UK, you have rights under the GDPR/UK GDPR; if you're in Switzerland, you have rights under the FADP.

Children

The Game is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above.
